Dallas Chamber Symphony: "Bumping Into Broadway"

A screening of Harold Lloyd's 1919 silent short comedy "Bumping Into Broadway", accompanied by a newly commissioned score by award-winning film composer Rolfe Kent, highlights the latest concert from the Dallas Chamber Symphony. Kent, whose impressive list of credits includes "Up in the Air, Sideways, About Schmidt, Dexter" and more, is known for his unique tones, textures and rhythms and for working with acclaimed directors like Alexander Payne and Jason Reitman. Aside from that exciting new work, the DCS is also set to perform Ruth Crawford Seeger's Music for Small Orchestra and Aaron Copland's beloved 1944 "Appalachian Spring" Suite. After the show, head across the street to Jorge's Tex-Mex Cafe, for a meet-and-mingle with the musicians, with included appetizers.
