About Monica Moser, Betsy Lane

Monica Moser was born in New York City, grew up in Fort Worth, TX, and now calls Nashville home. She is a student at Belmont University studying Songwriting and Music Business. She recently signed on for a year with Lyric House Publishing, a publishing/synch house based out of Colorado and now in Los Angeles.

In December 2013, she and a few other singer/songwriters planned a short tour in Texas, playing house shows in Fort Worth, Austin, Comfort, and Houston. In March 2014, her song “Human Heart” won second place in the Worship Song Contest through Belmont’s Songwriting program. This past October she was selected to perform in Belmont's Urban Pop Showcase for the Belmont community and Nashville’s industry professionals.

Where Beauty Lies is only her second release. It is a collection of four songs and is sort of a transitional project. Her debut release Human Heart came out in December 2013 and is available on Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon. Both EPs are also available on NoiseTrade and have been featured as a New & Notable album.

Betsy Lane, a singer-songwriter with country roots, is ready for a girl takeover in country music. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Betsy began taking violin lessons at age five, which would later spark her interest to teach herself guitar. At the age of seven she was in her first of many musicals, and by age thirteen she was cast as Alice in Alice In Wonderland, The Musical. She is now studying songwriting at Belmont University in Nashville.

In January 2013, Lane released her Debut EP “10 Months Ago EP”, where it climbed the Country Charts in America rising to 63, The United Kingdom, peaking at 26, and Australia hitting 118. “10 Months Ago EP” held a spot on the New and Noteworthy Country Albums in the UK for 8 months prior to the release.

Following the tail end of “10 Months Ago”, the single “Nashville Nights”, a love letter to her hometown, was released in July 2013 – rising to meet FLAGALine & Hunter Hayes on the iTunes Country Music Charts.

In June of 2014, “Southern Crazy” was released worldwide. A collection of six new originals that offers a kaleidoscope of stories, all of them deeply rooted in the human heart and brought to life in one of the languages of the American south; the great country song. It peaked at 21 in the UK, and 46 in the US. Following that release, Lane toured the UK and England in July and August.

She is constantly writing new music and playing gigs in Nashville. Her overall mission is to believe in, inspire, and understand the world’s creativity through her music.
