Oh, the things you'll see and the music you'll hear at the Tony-nominated show "Seussical", based on the books of Dr. Seuss. The mischievous Cat in the Hat joins Horton the Elephant, the Whos of Whoville, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and more beloved characters as they bring a multitude of the author's timeless tales to life, all linked together by JoJo, a young boy who is a "thinker of strange and wonderful thinks." Plus, each whimsical story has a lesson about friendship and faithfulness and is backed by a myriad of musical styles, from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk. Plano's Art Centre Theatre stages two versions of the show, one starring an all-adult cast and one featuring youngsters in the roles.
