DFW's best antiques and art show returns for the 47th year on Friday March 12 and Saturday March 13, 2010, with 75 top exhibitors from across the nation. The Dolly Johnson Antique and Art Show now offers antiques and art of all styles and eras--- from Pilgrim Century to Mid-Century Modern, from French to Industrial, from fabulous to fun. Prices will please both younger collectors and experienced investors.
Our special exhibit, "Flower Power," will showcase over 100 antiques for sale that boast a floral motif. Look for the squash blossom on a Navajo necklace or the blooms on an Italian antique textile, an American quilt, a 1960s Pop Art painting or tooled into a pair of vintage cowgirl boots. (Time it right and you can see more flowers at the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit the same days across the street at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame.)
The Antique Show's Benefit Booth supports Mayfest 2010, with a bargain sale of donated antiques, art, flowers and plants. Our Friday 4-7 pm Happy Hour Party will feature "Texas Acoustic" musician Paul Cox from Salado. Come hear some Texas music, enjoy the antiques, bring the kids--or don't. On Saturday March 13, from 10 am till noon, we'll welcome a special exhibit of the Susanna Fuller White trunk that came to North America on the Mayflower in 1620. Dallasites, hard to beat that. Come on over! The show is 35 minutes from downtown Dallas. See a pre-show sneak peek at www.dollyjohnsonAntiqueandArtShow.blogspot.com
